Turnstiles

A turnstile is an electromechanical access control device designed to organize and restrict the passage of people into an enterprise, office, warehouse, educational institution or other protected premises. Turnstiles are one of the key elements of access control and management systems (ACS).

The most common type is a tripod turnstile - a compact and reliable solution that allows people to pass through one at a time and effectively differentiate flows. Full-height turnstiles, speed gates and gate turnstiles are also widely used.

Installing a turnstile allows you to:

• control access of employees and visitors;
• keep track of working hours;
• prevent unauthorized passage;
• integrate the system with video surveillance and other elements ACS.

Modern turnstiles support access cards, key fobs, biometrics (fingerprint, facial recognition), QR codes and mobile identifiers. Many models are equipped with an “anti-panic” function, which automatically opens the passage in case of an emergency.

Turnstiles are actively used at the entrances of industrial enterprises, business centers, government institutions, sports facilities and at any facilities where organized and controlled passage of people is required.
